Just got back from Circles and I am now $40 poorer, and 7 records deeper in the crate. When I talked to Derrick they said they didn’t have \u201cCry Me a River\u201d, but the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0thing I saw on the \u201cWall O\u2019 Wax\u201d, as I call it, was the new single. However I only discovered later as I skimmed through every column of wax on the record shelf that the release they have is entirely remixes. I\u2019ll have to see when I get home if it\u2019s a house mix or a club edit of the original with extended intros and breakdowns.<\/p>\n

With only 20 minutes allotted to actually browse I grabbed everything of interest and then narrowed down to essentials before checking out. And the finalists are:<\/p>\n

1) Nelly \u2013 Hot In Here (granted I now hate this song, it gets people dancing and I needed a double as the into is a bitch to mix in by itself)<\/p>\n

2) Fabolous \u2013 This Is My Party (New jam, has a tight beat, I opted to get this earlier as a free promo but the record company shipped me Blue Cantrell \u2013 Breathe instead)<\/p>\n

3) J-Lo \u2013 Jenny From the Block (As previously stated, need the instrumental, and now I have something to mix into if I want to get back onto the Mix Factor record without having to play and entirely different song between the two)<\/p>\n

4) Justin Timberlake \u2013 Cry Me a River (Club mixes by Dirty Vegas, Johnny Fiasco, and Bill Hamel. This one doesn’t sound like it\u2019ll be a extended mix, but hey you never know!)<\/p>\n

5) 2x Missy Elliott \u2013 Work It (Gotta have the doubles nowadays)<\/p>\n

6) D12 \u2013 Purple Pills (Yeah I know, not very clubby, but hey none of Eminem\u2019s are, but people like to hear so I guess I have to play it)<\/p>\n

Now that I’ve got all that done I can continue with the agenda as previously postponed due to illness.<\/p>\n

Make sure the power adapter and\u00a0all<\/span>\u00a0RCA\u2019s are packed for the mixers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A) Buy new wax\u00a0->DONE<\/span><\/p>\n

B)Organize new wax with old wax<\/p>\n

C) Practice session with new wax and organize at least a smooth 1 hr Hip Hop set with play list<\/p>\n

a. Record the session to use a filler\u00a0->Not gonna happen<\/span><\/p>\n

D) Practice session with House implement new tracks in club session section<\/p>\n

a. If time permits, setup 2 hr club mix<\/p>\n

E)Burn a CD with whatever music I don’t have on wax just in case<\/p>\n

F) Pack up tables<\/p>\n

G) Pack up the records<\/p>\n

a. Big Red \u2013 House\/Trance\/Progressive<\/p>\n

b. Old big bag \u2013 Hip Hop<\/p>\n

c.8 Ball \u2013 Scratch N\u2019 Breaks, Specialty<\/p>\n

H) Remember to write down the track list for the CD\u2019s so I don\u2019t forget what\u2019s on them.<\/p>\n

I) Find \u201c Da Hiznitcha\u201d Double CD set (was to be a demo tape but since I was a little drunk at the time I forgot to stop the recording and went for 3 hrs 45 min nonstop, and turned out to be the best mix tape\/CD I’ve ever made)<\/p>\n
