So long time no post, I know, I know, it\u2019s such a travesty. Well what can I say there\u2019s not much to post when nothing much has happened, unlike some I live a drama free life, which unfortunately usually constitutes a boring life, so on with my mild spots of drama.<\/p>\n
Came to work on Monday and noticed and empty cube next to mine with a box in it. Turns out they were only sitting the box there while they told a friend of mine who sits caddy corner to me that he was being fired. It was a surprise to him, but oddly enough not a huge one, as he noticed the inability to log onto the network at home, form various spots, and the fact that some of his stuff had been moved towards the center of his desk and out of his cabinets when he came in, so it was kind of like a pre-warning. He then decided to skip out for a few, and milk the clock one last time, by avoiding the manager doing various things about the office, till finally he caught up with him. They really didn\u2019t give him a reason why they were firing him, one could only speculate it was either because of his recent sick days, but then again they also told him he was supposed to have been called by the temp agency we both go through. Ironic, this is the 2nd<\/sup> person that I\u2019ve been friends with who has been fired from the same temp agency. It\u2019s almost as if they are slowing making their way towards me, but oh well such is life.<\/p>\n I really don\u2019t care for this job anymore anyway, The only ambition I have is to become a permanent employee so I can take a vacation and go to school, but alas since I kiss no ones ass, to say they have dragged their feet on this is an understatement.<\/p>\n Okay so I haven\u2019t posted in ages, actually only 2 weeks, but it\u2019s for a good reason really, okay maybe not xxreaderxx, but who are they to be the judge of my content. So I\u2019ve been massively redesigning DjMgyx.Net, basically taking somewhat of a lead from Tom<\/a>, by actually having some dj content on my site. To resolve this I\u2019ve decided to utilize a lil splash screen to act as a portal, one link will take you to the DjMgyx, portion, which will consist mainly of dj\u2019ing info, samples, gig dates, and of course pictures. The other link will take you to Solitudes Sanctuary<\/a>, where everything else will be housed; including eventually all my entries from here as well as a new blog to pick up whenever I leave off when my premium account expires. I figured why pay for something that I can host on my site as it is, but then again that is if I ever learn how to use PHP<\/a> on my site, so it may be a long time.<\/p>\n Speaking of learning things, I\u2019ve learned how to use external CSS<\/a> sheets in designing websites, so I\u2019ve been totally engorged with playing with it. The main problem is, when I run into a problem and go hunting for an answer on the net, I usually run into 2-3 other things that I think would go well and end up playing with those items and implementing them on the site, and in the end completely forget about what I was looking to begin with. Hopefully when all is said and done, I\u2019ll have themes set up to change the color schemes for those of yall who prefer other colors than what I chose, right now DjMgyx\u2019s theme will be called HyperBlue, composed of bright blue and a dark grey and Solitudes Sanctuary will my AlienGreen using a bright greenish color and same dark gray. But this is taking some time of course as I run into new stuff every day that I wanna add. <\/p>\n So outside of the site, not much else going on, Mike has been sick the last 2-3 days, and hacking up every internal organ he has, or at least sounds like it. Steve is still avoiding the fact he still owes me $$$ for the electric bill, which is fine, I\u2019ll just make him pay the whole thing this month as it\u2019s only about $60. Sean<\/a> is of course doing his thing. I did happen to get in touch with my old friend Kim, whom I think we\u2019re going to try and hook up sometime this weekend and do something. It\u2019s been a while since I last saw here and apparently there\u2019s some catching up to be done.<\/p>\n I finally formatted the new system last night, though I don\u2019t know why, I didn\u2019t put the new 40 gig drive in, instead of sticking with the 6 gig that it is currently using to house the OS. Actually I now have 2 new matching 40 gig drives, as I traded Sean my laptop for the drive, a web cam, and $80. I still have my old 95 system but hopefully, with a little luck and some $ from the parentals for Christmas, I may invest in a desknote<\/a>. They seem pretty kewl, definitely a lot cheaper than a laptop, with the same functionality, and the benefit that I can use the same memory of my normal system in it, as well with possible the hard drives. And if not then there\u2019s always tax returns, besides I only really plan on using it when I go to the coffee house, back home, or if I roll to toms, and I need something that he can\u2019t burn.<\/p>\n I regress, so I formatted the system mainly because when I installed the 2ghz system, I just threw it in to see how it worked, and to benchmark it to check the performance, I then ran into some issues with the onboard video, and audio, which later turned out to be and issues with the KVM<\/a> switch, that was only connected to one system, and was phreaking out about the lack of resistance on the other cables. So I never installed any antivirus programs and no email software and basically used very little on it, but none the less, it was in need of a clean install.<\/p>\n Speaking of emails, I had the pleasure of sorting, deleting, adding to junk senders, and skimming over 600 emails after I installed Office XP finally last night, most of which have been sitting on the server for over a month. Now that I have all of that done, all I need to do now is rebuild the 1.2ghz system and the 450, both of these of course have very little priority and I may simply just sell the 1.2ghz and keep the 450 as a backup again, at least then I\u2019ll be able to recoup on some of my investments. <\/p>\n I\u2019ve been looking into going back to school again as well, with or without the aid of my phucked up employer whom happens to be a university, and I came to a conclusion yesterday while widdling away the time once again at this desk, \u201cI remember nothing about math from my freshman year at college or high school\u201d, okay so I remember the basics. I was at MCC\u2019s<\/a> site and checking out the placement option and so forth and they have a section that included some samples on what one would have to know in order to place out of basic math classes, needless to say I don\u2019t think I could answer any of them. I knew I should have stayed in college right after high school, but that is in the past and one can not change such things. So my biggest challenge will be overcoming the dreaded beast we all know as algebra. Which by the way, I have yet to see it implemented, as it was shown in high school, in any aspect of my life as of yet. So now this makes me wonder about that whole \u201cyou will need to know this in life\u201d phase almost every math teacher gives to there students. I\u2019m hoping they have some sort of placement for computer classes; because, I honestly think that would be a big waste to have to sit through for 4 hrs a day, just to learn that \u201chttp\u201d means Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, or that a hard drive is a disk that stores data in your computer. I mean seriously, I\u2019d be pissed; it would be like a professional NASCAR driver having to take Drivers Ed just so they can complete a degree, the day after they won the Indy 500.<\/p>\n Hmm what else is there, not much, I thought about calling Heather this weekend to see how things were going, but remembered I know longer have her #, so I guess that\u2019s out of the question, I suppose I\u2019ll send and email or something instead, I also finally got a hold of \u201cFooChop\u201d aka Art, but he was at work and couldn\u2019t talk long, ironically he works right across the street from her, okay maybe not ironic since Sierra Vista<\/a> is such a small town. <\/p>\n Okay nuff boring stuff for now, L8trz peeps<\/p>\nShare this:<\/h3>
