The funniest thing happened today. Kid woke me up by banging on my door. She wanted me to take her to her moms\u2019 house. So as I didn’t set any of my alarms last night I got up and started to get ready. I told her I’d take her on my way to work. As I was brushing my teeth i wondered why she wanted to go to her moms, normally she wants to stay and play with liz and all her other lil friends in the apt complex. So is asked and the conversation went a lil something like this<\/p>\n
“Kid…”<\/p>\n
“huh..”<\/p>\n
“So how come you wanna go to your moms?”<\/p>\n
“Cuz”<\/p>\n
“Cuz why?”<\/p>\n
“Just Cuz!”<\/p>\n
“Jus cuz why?”<\/p>\n
“Cuz I wanna go see Georgie”<\/p>\n
“What?”<\/p>\n
“I wanna go see Georgie”<\/p>\n
“Okay……but i thought you and Liz normally go swimming”<\/p>\n
“We do, but after I clean up the mess”<\/p>\n
“What mess?”<\/p>\n
“In the other room?”<\/p>\n
“Which room,?is it big?”<\/p>\n
“The living room, where the table is”<\/p>\n
“What kinda mess is it”<\/p>\n
“My toys”<\/p>\n
“So how come you don’t clean it up then?”<\/p>\n
“Cuz I don’t wanna, I wanna go see Georgie”<\/p>\n
“Okay, but you realize you’re gunna have to clean it up eventually right”<\/p>\n
“Yeah”<\/p>\n
“So why not just do it now?”<\/p>\n
“Cuz?I don’t wanna”<\/p>\n
“So you wanna go to your moms then, so you don’t have to clean up the mess you made with your toys, right”<\/p>\n
“Mmm…..yeah”<\/p>\n
“Did you tell your mom that?”<\/p>\n
“No”<\/p>\n
“What about Liz?<\/p>\n
“No”<\/p>\n
“I think you should tell them don’t you?”<\/p>\n
“Nooo”<\/p>\n
“Well I think you should, how bout I tell Liz and then you tell your mom”<\/p>\n
\u201cUmmm I dunno\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell you know your dad prolly won\u2019t be happy if he found out about this you know that right\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell I suppose we\u2019ll find out, now huh\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAhh young foo-choppa, but you do, you just refuse to admit it\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd you\u2019re likely to be in trouble later big butt\u201d<\/p>\n
Well nonetheless Liz nearly fell out laughing when I coaxed kid into telling Liz. So on the way to her moms\u2019 I asked her what she thought would happen when her dad found out, and she just kinda ignored the whole thing. I think she was upset for calling her out like that. Then when I got to her moms, I told Candace to ask her why she wanted to come home, and after a few minutes of not talking, and playing with Georgie, I finally told Candace. She just laughed and said she does the same thing over there as well, that anytime she doesn\u2019t want to do something she says she wants to go to her dads. The whole thing was just too funny, but I wonder where she learned to manipulate like that?<\/p>\n
