Closing Out Bike Week

So what was just gunna be a regular day of riding turned into a an epic adventure, a journey, and quest..and finally a long ass day of riding.

I guess the adventure part is mainly for myself since Becca had mentioned wanting to ride this Saturday the other night at the club. I was a bit hesitant at 1st since the only other time she had ridden was with Tone and I at the The Door almost a month ago, and now she’d be riding with me all day and the day currently had no end.

Amanda the called and wanted to roll out as well so of course who can deny a few females along for the ride plus since Amanda rides herself I knew she could definatley handle a day of 2 up. The problem arose when i realized there might not be enough willing participants in traveling throughout the day with a passenger. GSXR J (Not GSXR 1 Jay, different J) took care of that taking the lead in riding with Amanda for the 1st part of the day and Becca and myself on Juggy. Of course we had a plan to meet up at noon which got pushed to 1pm and after meeting all the other riders finally departing Az Mills around 2pm.

We hit up Tempe Diablo Stadium for a bike expo, to which we missed most of the good stuff but did save a fellow riders ass by turning in the key to his brand new 07 CBR 600RR to the announcers. Good thing he was leaving just before us other wise he’d be assed out. So after walking around a bit we opted to head out to Glendale to check out the bike expo there. unfortunately by the time we actually were leaving Amanda felt it best for her to head back in and grab her car, which she had valeted at Az Mills, whom closed at 7 a mere 3 hrs away. So whilst the other waited for another rider to meet up with us, I ran Amanda back to Az Mills.

I’ll say this she can ride with me anytime, of the few people I’ve given rides to even the ones who say they ride, she rides the best, yeah I know that comes out all wrong, so get your mind outta the gutter, and stay focused…for now. So after i got back we decided on a route and I ran into an old high school friend form SV who happens to also ride to, needless to say plans are definitely in affect to cruise down there soon now, and surprisingly Tone even mentioned he’d be down for it.

Anyway I digressed…

So when i got back I thought for sure I’d have Becca rolling with me, but instead she opted to trade with J, which i was cool with since I’d still not really gotten a chance to open up Juggy since i got em back last week. So after keepin up through the airport loops, we hit up the 202 and went WOT with everyone hitting 150 with ease now and without the massive vibrations. Which reminds I need to ask Tone exactly how the hell to do that lil jaunt again cuz it was fun as hell, and even though I hit 150 it took more effort than i think is required compared to the other bikes and just confirms the need to save up for a newer FI bike like..

Granted the trip out to BF Glendale, (think BFE), it was all for not, since they were still charging $18 a head for 45 minutes of the bike show, all because it was bundle with concert that apparently no one new who was playing in, together. We did however score some free NOS energy drinks which the vendor tried to pawn entire cases off to us, and the WAK Busa raced some chopper in the parking lot and smoked em. After sitting around for about 40 min we decided to headed back into town and hit up Ryan’s B-Day BBQ.

unfortunately a few of the bikes didn’t want come along and decided to act up, including one that kept dying on the freeway, and of course some of the riders were from the West side and simply opted to stay in their own backyard ans the evening dwindled down. The rest of of bounced out and weaved our way back towards the east side, some times chillin at 70ish and other times at 140ish, most of it on 2 wheels but for some on 1.

That was pretty much the end of the evening, we all met at Ryan’s had a drink or 2 chit chatted and the remaining west-siders called it a day, and headed back the rest of us followed for the most part, i for one dind’t and hit up a Chilli’s by the crib with Becca.
