Finally back to some normalcy!!!

This week as been for all but better words…an ass load of a week. And it’s no one in particular persons fault. It’s the entire cities, Yeah so we got the super bowl again, blah blah blah. That’s great for commerce around Glendale and some of the other spots, but damn, talk about financial pillaging.

Every venue form the largest clubs to the smallest hole in the wall bar’s were trying to cash in on this weekend, Some for great reasons and others just because they could. Some had great plans and some were half assed thrown together. But the one thing I saw was that the places that didn’t really throw/promote away from there normal everyday/week events made out the most. 3 spots mainly, from what I saw, The Door, Big Fish, and the Wild Hare, all of which have weekly nights they promote and didn’t jump on the let’s charge people $250 to get in for the same shit we do every week. And guess what they had more people show up than to any of the so called exclusive, fantastically featured, guest appearing, celebrity filled venues.

As Scottsdale is so locally known for, it just seemed like a shit load of 30k millionaires tried to have a field day, a sucker as many people in as possible. Now I by no means am a millionaire, nor would i have try to portray one, hell i would even try and portray a 100k and year, but really, is that how it now. Is that what this city has come to be, a bunch of fronts to sucker as many people into multi level marketing of life scheme and make out like a bandit, and just maybe really become a millionaire for a day or 2 before you realize life come with bills, and day care, and car payments, and realize that after the 2nd month your still back down under that glorious 6 figure mark.

Now it may be the fact I’m writing this at 5am and I have to be at work in 6hrs, but unfortunately I fell asleep after riding canyon lake and slept thru most of the super bowl, (thanks tivo), or it may be the fact that I’m just tired of people trying to be more than what they are, and faking it, instead of striving to be it, or maybe it’s just my fucked up perception on things. either way I’ll have to expand on that a bit more later, in several ways, but for now here’s the pics from some of the spots we hit up this weekend.
