Groove Candy @ Lyte Lounge 7-23-08
So Groove Candy Wednesday’s brought to you by Karlie Hustle and the Kool Kidz, packed up and moved on from the Door once new management took over. Reasons and explanations aside I finally was able to make it out to Groove Candy at their new home Lyte Lounge.
For the longest time coming, Groove Candy had been attracting a somewhat Ghetto crowd, to point at which myself and several others decided to stop going or would only go if there was nothing else going on that evening.
With mixed reviews from the 1st and 2nd night I was apprehensive of what to expect, so Wisdom agreed to roll out with me for my 1st indoctrination to Groove Candy at Lyte Lounge. Alas i finally was able to make it out and to my surprise if there ever was a time where moving backwards was better this was it and the new venue makes it even more so.
Though you may think otherwise, seeing as the Lyte Lounge is bit further into the “Snotsdale” zone, than The Door was. Now don’t get me wrong I will still patron The Door…on Tuesdays, but Wednesday will always be a Groove Candy thing for me. A smaller less thugged /hoochied out crowd and a down home style venue, makes the evening feel as if your at a house party but with full bar, waitresses and of course M2 on the decks. So without further ado, here’s groove Candy @ Lyte Lounge.
