I can easily say the Holiday was uneventful, even though from most people’s standpoint it could be observed as somewhat hectic. I started the day working as you can tell from previous posts, but then due to the lack of ability upon the manager to properly forecast, I was forced to go home 2 hrs early, so much for getting remotely close to normal hours for the week. And to follow up, I was then informed that I couldn’t work Friday either, which hold both pro’s and con’s. Obviously the pro’s being I actually get a day off that I normally wouldn’t, con would be I’d be missing 10 hrs from my work week.

After I left work I stopped my Tom’s crib to holla for a bit, and say what’s up to Kid, but she wasn’t there. Tom of course sported his new Apex DVD player, which I must now have, simply for the basis is mine is old and won’t play CD-R’s hence, no vcd’s of downloaded movies, unless done on more expensive CD-RW’s. After that I headed out to Mike’s parents, for dinner. It was the usual, except for my apparent inability to determine that the white covered chunky stuff was actually a fruit salad and now a southwestern potato salad. This of course was made blindly apparent when I took a bit expecting one thing and instead was treated to the nectars of a grape and apple montage. Aside from that lil mishap, everything else was good.

The rest of the evening spent there mainly flip flopped between playing pool with his cousin Shelly, and his family’s new pastor, whom is the same age as I. This was pretty fun, though there was a serious curbing of language and content on my part after I found out he was the pastor for their church, which he actually didn’t seem to notice to begin with. Shelley on the other hand had a harder time, which each failed shot, I told her she wasn’t winning because, she didn’t sit at the kid table like we did last year, and that her imagination has been taken over by the maturity of her actual age., which I have yet to clearly figure out yet. Mike I had a discussion on this later that evening and determined next year she has to stay the night and go out with us. The only problem is she and her son live in Tucson. Granted I saw it last year and never said anything but Shelley is definitely “hookupable”, sans the aspect that she’s Mike’s cousin, and the fact she has like a 13 year old son, who’s pretty cool for his age, not annoying like most others trying to show off and such.

After the dinner, we met back up at the crib, and made arrangement to meet Sean and Brant, at the new lil hangout of their, called “Land Sharks”, were I proceed to get ripped off the bartender Ashley’s, concoction of a Long Island Iced Tea. Talk about the strongest drink I’ve had in awhile, most of the time a Long Island has a slight shade of brown from the Coke, but these were straight up clear as Evian water. They tasted like ass but damn they laid me out at the same time, which is what I was aiming for as; I haven’t gotten a chance to get really tore up in quite some time, not like that anyway. So of course 2 ½ more in topped off with a crown and Coke, and I was to say the least smashed, thanks mainly in part Lindsey and her see through top whom, was more than happy to oblige us with not only a nice view but buy one get one for a penny drink specials.

Friday was pretty nonchalant as well, went and watched Treasure Planet with Mike and the kids, and then later….hmm…I can’t seem to remember if we went out or not. I don’t think we did so I’ll leave it at that. I think we just sat at the crib and did nothing really.

From left to right; Tom aka Hambone, Mike aka Lunchbox and me, Terrence aka Ear Muff

Saturday night however the McAllister’s went out for the 1st time in months and kicked it for a bit. Crack Head got drunk off a few sips of a Long Island and something else, as did Lunchbox, but at least he had some shots to put behind his reason. Actually I think Hambone was the only one not drinking very much, but I think this was mainly upon the fact that he was expecting a call from Kid at any point to come pick her up from her moms. We bailed early and went to Denny’s wear my sobriety was regained and Lunchboxes was lost, with his Rum and Coke, with breakfast plan. It was a joke at 1st , but nooo he just had to play it out, so the majority of the meal was spent laughing at Crack Head because she tried to start baggin, but was unable to follow through, and of course with the slight buzz I had, easily retaliated to her amazement, because she kept looking at Tom, to say something about my responses. His only words of advice were, “You started it, if you didn’t want him to say something you should have started it.”, then of course she started in on Tom, which was mildly amusing, as she attempted proclaimed throughout the entire episode that she wasn’t drunk, but for some reason the slurring just didn’t get the message across to effectively.

Sunday, Last day for a fun day, pretty much chilled Sunday, and ran some errands. Mike and Steve wanted me to roll to American Cabaret, next to Woody’s with them, for penny beers, but I wasn’t feeling it, besides beer just makes me feel full, and wanna piss, also because I knew if I went to a strip club, I’d spend more than I wanted to spend to begin with. So of course I received ample shit for not rolling, and thus enjoyed the silence of the crib for the many hours they were gone, in which I talked to both my brothers for the 1st time in close to 4 months, and got caught up with my mom. The rest of the night I spent hacking my component DVD player to unlock the region settings, and enabled vcd playback. All of this was futile, as after wasting 4 blank Cd-R’s I find out the damn thing won’t read them to begin with. So now I have to find some CD-RW’s to test out with tonight, or simply wait until next week and get a newer DVD player with much better features and compatibility.

So that was my holiday weekend, now I’m back to the boring job, as I wait for payday and then the weekend to arrive.
