The Winds of Change

On February 12th,1909 , The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was founded by a multiracial group of activists, who answered “The Call,” in the New York City, NY. They initially called themselves the National Negro Committee.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2009, 100 years after that fateful day in NY, the first African American; Barack Obama, will take seat as the president of the United States of America.
