Okay I have an hr left before I go home so I supposed I better write something witty and controversial. Okay maybe not. Actually the day kinda flew by until the about 6ish, and then it just died, and I’ve been bored ever since.
So of course with nothing truly constructive to do, without getting fired at least, I decided to peruse the main page of xanga and decided to check out their little match maker/personal ad. So still bored with perusing I finally run across an amusing local ad, and thought “Hey, it’s a fellow xangan, I’ll send em a little message”, and then the proverbial “Catch22” kicked in, you had to buy credits to send messages or anything for that matter other than simply look. So annoyed with having to pay for something as trivial as posting a simple message I decided to continue my journey of reading interesting profiles, all the while annoyed at the fact that one had to dish out some green to send an email.
Finally fed up I decided to check some other sites, actually I didn’t really decided, I happened to check my email at yahoo, and it was flooded with spam mail form dozens of match making sites, so it was kinda like fate nudged me in the direction I took. So I pulled up a blank document and wrote out some simple response to the, what seemed to be the average question on all the sites. This was mainly because I was tired of typing the same thing over and over and over and…well you get the picture. Anyway, after the 3rd or 4th site I went through and put pretty much the same filter on all the sites, apparently they all had the same engine running on all of their servers, because for the exception of one, they all asked the same question and for the most part had the same format.
At this point I’m thinking this is just one servers with dozens of different domain names, and looks so people don’t noticed they get the same results whenever they go to any of them, but alas this was not the case since they all didn’t pull up the same people when the search results were done, inevitably throwing that theory out the window. So then I decided to find one that seems kewl and find out what option they had, I also had a small idea of actually writing down the addresses and basically doing a review of all of them but, figured that would be way to much work to do, especially for a Friday.
After a few minutes of maxing out the apparent bandwidth allotted to my system all the sites finally loaded up with their pages to send replies to all the people I had chosen, and of course you guessed it they all required some sort of $$$, with only one exception to the rule. That’s right; if you’re female you get to pretty much do it all for free. Now don’t get me wrong here, and I’m far from a chauvinistic pig, but why?
Overall, women have no problem finding guys no matter what race, creed, color, shape, or whatever they may be. Why you may ask, simple, they have what every man wants. Would you like to know why there is not a female version of who wants to be a millionaire, simple the show would never end, every male on the planet would line up, okay every heterosexual male that is. You could host a show “Who Wants to Marry a House wife” or “Who Wants to Marry a Career Woman”, and get the exact same results the show would never end, simply due to the overwhelming turn out. Basically if you go to pretty much any club, you see guys scoping out the scene, yet no matter what game you have, or how witty or charming you may be it still comes down to “her decision” and whether or not she wants to give him the privilege of her company.
Now this is not something that’s bad, it’s good, it instill self confidence, but why does corporate America decide that this is the way things have to be. Take for instance personal ad, a woman as free reign and can pick and chose, free of charge, yet a man, is treated like the leper, who must forgo his life’s earnings for a mere peek at someone who overall, may tell him to kiss her ass. I say either charge them all or let it be free, of course anyone who knows me, knows I’m for the free aspect of things, especially if it’s on the net. Which is quite ironic, since I could buy a $14,000 car; free of any subscription or service charges, via the web, yet I can’t send a simple email to someone in my same town to say “That was funny as hell”.
In the immortal words of Gold Member “Ishn’t shat Vvweird!”
I shall now don my flame retardant suit and awake the onslaught 😉
hey… women have to go through shit to0.. wheremen get ignored.. Women would have 20 different men in our face wanting to talk after a hard day…. then when we want to talk.. you have to “weed” the tards from the guys that actualy want to talk… then theres still if they want to talk not just in the hopes to fuck….Its almost like youre saying all women want is money.. thats like me saying all men want is sex.. see my point…smiles
No Not all women want money, money was only an issues when womens needs are comercialized by crap ass websites, But u did prove my point that it comes down to women “weeding” men out, and that if the woman had no morale value or standards, she could have every single man that approached her.
thank god for morale, values and standards
