Oh how the days have dragged on over the past 2 weeks since I last posted. Okay so actually it didn’t, but I had lost motivation to write anything, and have just been kind of saving up the smaller things to post in one big weekly summary. Okay so I was busy doing other things than writing, nonetheless I still had no motivation to write.

After all these years I have finally installed Photoshop, and have decided to delve into it’s abyss of technical babble, and quirks to try and enhance the new layout of my website. For years I put it off, okay actually for years I just didn’t really need to use it. Besides when everyone else was making those kewl lil pics, I was usually busy, sniffing packets, and viewing pages sources. I wish I tried it before, because now I have a massively high learning curve to overcome, which with the aid of a few books recently purchased shouldn’t be too hard. Actually strike that statement from before, as I remember the ultimate reason why I didn’t play with them more in the past, my systems little Cyrix 200Mhz, the little processor that could, ultimately couldn’t without causing some serious crashes.

So whilst being unmotivated to write, I’ve been knocking away at my new page design and tossing some ideas around as to the theme and content of the site. Obviously there’s isn’t a whole lot of content to offer other than my poems, and if I have enough space a few mixes hopefully. My biggest block so far is finding the kanji characters I want to use. The majority of the one’s I’ve located have been so horribly pixilated that they are just unusable in Photoshop, but then again, it could just be my lack of skill in the program itself. So if anyone reading this has a good site that has Kanji characters and their meaning could drop a line at my email or leave a comment with a link, it would be greatly appreciated.

I invested in some books last night to help me out so to speak “Flash MX Savvy”, and “Photoshop 7 Savvy”. I was going to get the book on “Dreamweaver MX” but I’ll wait on that one as I’ve pretty much figured out the basic of it, and there are enough sites about the net if I need help with it. Even though I haven’t played with flash in probably over 3 months, I think the book will definitely help with the intro I want to do, which is kinda like the “Staind” website.

So as far as the leg goes, as I tell everyone who asks “How’s the foot?”, the foot is fine, the leg is still broken.

Ironically I received my nice huge bill from the hospital yesterday for $600, ironically, a few hours later I got a call from the Dr’s office I was referred as was advised by the nurse calling that my leg was broken. Like this was news to me. Hello I was there; saw the x-ray, Dr already explained it all, got the brace. Anyway they want me to come back in a few weeks for a follow up, at which time I think I will defiantly ask about the tendons and ligaments, as it feels as if they are bruise, torn, shredded, whatever.

Let me just say shopping for medical insurance is a bitch, and now I’m torn between whether or not to even apply through the temp agency I’m going through for work, as they want to charge me close to $40 a week. The other option is to get State assisted coverage, which I’m still not sure what the cost if for them, and of course the 3rd option is not to get any and wait until I’m hired on permanently at work.

Decision…decisions!

Insurance or no insurance?

Full DHTML navigation menus or half and half?

Plain Ole Capt’n and Coke or Capt’n and New Vanilla Coke, which I must say is quite good.

Bud Light Or Budweiser

Vestax or Technics

Ford or Chevy..*L* neither Dodge, but if I had to choose I’d probably take Ford for the trucks and Chevy for the cars.

Anyway you get the point.

Damn it’s busy all of a sudden, if you can call a bunch of MBA having idiotic moronic instructors, calling to doing something they should already know a need for busy.

So I suppose I’ll post more later.

BTW

Thanks to those who left comments and e-props, much appreciated
