Once again another poem i wrote along time ago actually it’s not as old as the other one but still over a yr or 2 old. It amazes me at some of the things i write still apply today

If It Had All Been Different

If it had all been different

Would I know what I know now?

Would I feel the way I feel right now

If it had all been different

Closed off by the world as it seems

Only the selected few allowed to feel the gleam

Darkness surrounds the light

Away from all those, who can possibly diminish it

The warrior sits and awaits those that dare cause threat or harm

Posing the unsolvable riddle for those that approach

Can you ever match that of what has been?

Can you ever love that which hast loved and been loved as she loved

Can you fill that which has been without light for so long?

Filling it with all that you are

To have it shine and gleam, as much has it ever has

Can you love has she loved, feel as she felt, shine has she shined

Consuming all that she filled, and make it your own

With all her heart

With all her soul

With all that she was

Will your love be forever, even with death, the impermeable darkness?

If not

Then why

If not

Then how

How

How does he go on without his heart, without his soul, without all that he is

For it is forever hers

Her the living Miracle

The One he gave himself to

The One, with all his heart, with all his soul, with all that he is

The One who’s love shall forever be hers

And if it had all been different…..It wasn’t
